Project Spotlight: Steel Structures of Ohio, LLCSeptember 12, 2012
The MOCA Cleveland Project is a unique 34,000-square-foot structure for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland, Ohio. The building was designed with a hexagonal base that transitions to a square roof line. In addition, the interior atrium houses a monumental stair that includes a self-contained fire stair and is clad in 3/8” plate.
Steel Structures of Ohio and Forest City Erectors worked closely with FOA and WRL as design assist partners to develop a structural steel design that satisfied the unique geometrical requirements of the project, as well as meeting the aesthetic requirements presented by the architects and owner.
