Enhancements to Custom Members

SDS/2 version 7.3 has made improvements to the Anchor Rod custom member, which makes adding it to the model much easier. A Caged Ladder custom member is also now available, which includes several options, such as the cage, connections and rungs.
In this webinar, you'll learn about the improvements to the Anchor Rod as well as the basics of adding a Caged Ladder.

AISC MODEL REVIEW/APPROVAL WORKSHOP
Learn about the benefits of transitioning from a traditional shop drawing review process using only paper, to one that saves time and effort through the use of a model. Attendees at this workshop will learn the benefits of model usage in the review process, see a demonstration of model usage in specific software applications and see a case study supporting successful integration of a model into the review process.

Basic Training

Prerequisite
We require that you go through the “SDS/2 Detailing Basics & Step-By-Step Instructions” manual, “Assorted Tools for Working in SDS/2” manual, and “SDS/2 Connection Guide” before attending the course.
Materials Required
Design Data will supply each attendee with design drawings, course outlines, and other training information, all of which will be yours to keep. You will not need to bring anything else. At the end of the week you will also receive a CD-ROM containing your job and fabricator setup, 3D model, and details you will have created over the course of the week. The CD will be a great resource for continued learning.

Prerequisite
Those attending Continuing Education courses must have worked on the system at least eight months and have a good understanding of how SDS/2 functions. These courses will be taught in v7.3; therefore, an understanding of v7.3 operations is necessary.

The 2013 SDS/2 Users Group Conference will be held at The Embassy Suites Omaha - Downtown/Old Market in Omaha, Nebraska, September 18-20.
